Abstract
Cilj ovog diplomskog rada bio je istražiti kako učitelji razredne nastave percipiraju svoje jezične kompetencije kao i njihov stav prema profesionalnom usavršavanju povezanom s tim kompetencijama. Učiteljska profesija zahtijeva širok raspon kompetencija koje su ključne za uspješno obavljanje nastavnog rada i poticanje razvoja učenika. Kompetencijski profil učitelja obuhvaća pedagoške, psihološke, predmetne i didaktičkometodičke i brojne druge kompetencije potrebne za kvalitetan rad. Jezična kompetencija, koja obuhvaća vještinu jasnog i preciznog izražavanja, razumijevanja i interpretacije jezika, pripada najvažnijim kompetencijama za osobni i profesionalni razvoj. Hrvatski jezik, kao službeni jezik Republike Hrvatske, ima ključnu ulogu u obrazovanju i svakodnevnom životu. Osim što služi kao sredstvo komunikacije, on je također temelj za razvijanje kritičkog mišljenja, očuvanje kulturnog identiteta i jačanje društvene integracije
Abstract (english)
The aim of this thesis was to investigate how classroom teachers perceive their language competencies, as well as their attitudes towards professional development related to these competencies. The teaching profession requires a wide range of competencies that are crucial for successful teaching and for fostering student development. The teacher's competence profile includes pedagogical, psychological, subject-specific, didacticmethodological, and numerous other competencies necessary for quality work. Language competence, which encompasses the skill of clear and precise expression, as well as the understanding and interpretation of language, is among the most important competencies for both personal and professional development. The Croatian language, as the official language of the Republic of Croatia, plays a key role in education and everyday life. In addition to serving as a means of communication, it is also the foundation for developing critical thinking, preserving cultural identity, and strengthening social integration.
