Abstract Razvoj društva, tehnologije i znanosti se događa brže nego ikada, a takvo ubrzanje ima negativne posljedice za planet, ali i na određene slojeve društva. Kako bi se ljudima osigurao održivi razvoj, moraju se dogoditi promjene u svakodnevnom životu ljudi. Takve se promjene implementiraju kroz odgoj i obrazovanje za održivi razvoj. Suvremena nastava kod svojih učenika mora osigurati znanja, vještine i stavove koji će poticati učenika na pozitivan odnos prema okolišu i drugim ljudima.
Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je utvrditi kojim sadržajima, metodama rada, oblicima i medijima u nastavi prirode i društva je moguće potaknuti značajniju povezanost s prirodom učenika nižih razreda osnovne škole. Svrha istraživanja bila je ispitati povezanost sadržaja, metoda, oblika i medija u nastavi prirode i društva kojima učitelji mogu potaknuti značajniju povezanost s prirodom učenika nižih razreda osnovne škole.
Istraživanje je provedeno anketiranjem učitelja razredne nastave, putem online anketnog upitnika (Google forms). Prikupljeni su podaci od ukupno N=103 ispitanika iz OŠ Novska, OŠ Dragutina Tadijanovića, Petrinja i OŠ Lovre pl. Matačića, Zagreb. Anketnim upitnikom su se ispitivali ljubav i briga za prirodu učitelja razredne nastave, učestalost korištenja prirodnih prostora i utvrđivanje aktivnosti koje učitelj provodi na otvorenom, učestalost korištenja praktičnog rada učenika u nastavi prirode i društva, učestalost korištenja informacijskih i komunikacijskih tehnologija i utvrđivanje aktivnosti za koje ih učitelj koristi, te učestalost korištenja suradničkog učenja u nastavi prirode i društva.
Rezultati istraživanja ukazali suna visoke rezultate ispitanika na skali Ljubav i briga za prirodu. Istraživanje je ukazalo da ispitanici procjenjuju da često koriste prirodne prostore škole i oko škole u nastavi prirode i društva, ali i za slobodnu igru učenika. Istraživanjem se utvrdilo da ispitani učitelji procjenjuju da u nastavi prirode i društva često koriste suradničko učenje i praktičan rad. Također, rezultati su ukazali daučitelji u nastavi prirode i društva često koriste informacijsko komunikacijske tehnologije. Rezultati dobiveni istraživanjem ukazali su na to da postoji statistički značajna povezanost između ljubavi i brige za prirodu i korištenja prirodnih prostora škole i oko škole u nastavi prirode i društva, učestalosti korištenja metode praktičnog rada učenika i suradničkog učenja.
Ovo istraživanje ukazuje na potrebu poticanja povezanosti s prirodom u nastavi prirode i društva. Također, istraživanje je pokazalo da postoji povezanost između ljubavi i brige za prirodu i prakse rada učitelja u nastavi prirode i društva.
Abstract (english) Development of society, technology and science is happening faster than ever, and that acceleration has negative consequences for our planet and certain stratum of society. Changes in everyday life of people are necessary to ensure sustainable progress for future generations. Such changes are implemented through Education for Sustainability. Modern education has to develop knowledge, skills and attitudes that will encourage children’s positive relationship towards nature and other people.
The aim of the paper was to investigate contents, teaching methods, forms of teaching and learning and learning media in teaching of school subject Nature and Society which are convenient to encourage elementary school student’s connectedness to nature. Accordingly, the purpose of the research was to examine connection between contents of subject, teaching methods, forms of teaching and learning media that can encourage elementary school students’ connectedness to nature.
The research was conducted on primary school teachers, through online questionnaire (Google forms). The research involved N=103 class teachers from Elementary school Novska, ES Dragutina Tadijanovića, Petrinja and ES Lovre pl. Matačića, Zagreb. The survey questionnaire was used to examine teacher’s love and care for nature, frequency of using outdoor spaces and the type of outdoor activity in class, frequency of inquiry-based learning usage in school subject Nature and Society, frequency of ICT usage and frequency of collaborative learning appearing in classes.
The results of the survey indicate high results on Love and Care for Nature Scale. The survey indicates that respondents estimate that they often use natural spaces of school and school environment in teaching Nature and Society, but also for children’s free play. Survey shows that respondents estimate they frequently use collaborative learning and inquiry-based learning in teaching Nature and Society. Furthermore, respondents estimate they frequently use ICT in teaching Nature and Society. The results of the survey show statistically significant correlation between love and care for nature and usage of schools’ natural spaces in teaching Nature and Society, frequency of inquiry based teaching and collaborative learning.
This survey indicates the relevance of encouraging children's connectedness to nature in teaching Nature and society. Furthemore, this survey carries out a correlation between love and care for nature and practice in teaching Nature and society.
