Abstract
Profesionalno usavršavanje odgajatelja obvezan je dio odgajateljevog djelovanja, ali nerijetko ovisi i o motivaciji istih. Osim što je profesionalno usavršavanje obvezan dio odgajateljske profesije, ono je i dugotrajni kontinuirani proces koji zahtjeva intrinzičnu i ekstrinzičnu motivaciju odgajatelja. Cilj ovog rada je ispitati koji čimbenici utječu na motivaciju odgajatelja za profesionalnim usavršavanjem te smatraju li odgajatelji važnim profesionalno se usavršavati. U istraživanju je primijenjen kvalitativan pristup i metoda polustrukturiranog intervjua. Protokol intervjua sastojao se od dvije skupine pitanja podijeljenih prema istraživačkim pitanjima koji se odnose na mišljenja odgajatelja o čimbenicima koji utječu na motivaciju odgajatelja za profesionalnim usavršavanjem i mišljenje odgajatelja u vezi profesionalnog usavršavanja. Istraživanje je provedeno na prigodnom uzorku od deset odgajatelja iz Primorsko-goranske županije te je obuhvaćao odgajatelje iz javnih i privatnih Ustanova te odgajatelje s različitim godinama radnog staža prema Modelu Profesionalnog razvoja, temeljen na međusobnoj podršci i međusobnom motiviranju svih dionika odgojno-obrazovnog procesa. U radu se ističu intrinzični i ekstrinzični motivatori koju omogućuju podršku motivaciji odgajatelja u vezi s profesionalnim usavršavanjem s ciljem kvalitetnijeg odgojno-obrazovnog procesa u ustanovi za rani i predškolski odgoj i obrazovanje. Istraživanje ukazuje na značaj određenih promjena u domeni profesionalnog usavršavanja odgajatelja i važnosti pojedinih motivacijskih čimbenika koje u okviru profesije odgajatelja imaju izniman utjecaj na kvalitetu rada i djelovanja.
Abstract (english)
Professional development of educators is an obligatory part of the educator's work, but it often depends on their motivation. Apart from the fact that professional development is a mandatory part of the educational profession, it is also a long-term continuous process that requires intrinsic and extrinsic motivation of educators. The aim of this paper is to examine which factors influence the motivation of educators for professional development and whether educators consider it important to improve professional development. A qualitative approach and method of semi-structured interview was applied in the research. The interview protocol consisted of two groups of questions divided according to research questions related to educators' opinions on the factors influencing educators' motivation for professional development and educators' opinions regarding professional development. The research was conducted on a suitable sample of ten educators from the PrimorjeGorski Kotar County and included educators from public and private institutions and educators with different years of service. The paper emphasizes the intrinsic and extrinsic motivators that enable the support of educators' motivation in connection with professional development with the aim of a better educational process in the Institution for Early and Preschool Education. The research points to the importance of certain changes in the field of professional development of educators and the importance of certain motivational factors that within the profession of educators have an exceptional impact on the quality of work and performance.
