Abstract
Ovaj završni rad bavi se stranim jezicima u ranom i predškolskom odgoju i obrazovanju. U početnim poglavljima, opisuje se opći jezični razvoj djeteta kao i poticajna uloga koje okruženje može imati u razvoju jezika. Nadalje, spominjanjem procesa usvajanja materinskog jezika mogu se uočiti sličnosti i različitosti kod usvajanja stranog jezika. Važnost dobi u usvajanju stranog jezika naglašeno je u ciljevima i prednostima usvajanja u ranoj i predškolskoj dobi koji se spominju u ovom radu. Europska komisija nudi određene okvire i smjernice koji usmjeravaju poučavanje stranog jezika u ranoj dobi. Rad nudi pregled određenih pristupa i metoda, od kojih je situacijski pristup najzastupljeniji u odgojno-obrazovnim ustanovama Republike Hrvatske
Abstract (english)
This paper focuses on the study of foreign languages in early and preschool education. The initial chapters describe the general linguistic development of the child, as well as the stimulating role that the environment may play in the development of the language. Furthermore, by mentioning the process of mother tongue acquisition, similarities and differences can be observed when adopting a foreign language. The importance of age in the foreign language acquisition is emphasized in the goals and advantages of acquisition in early childhood and preschool age mentioned in this paper. The European Commission offers frameworks and guidelines that guide the teaching process of foreign language for children of early and preschool age. The paper offers an overview of certain approaches and methods, of which the situational approach is most prevalent in educational institutions of the Republic of Croatia.
